API Overview
Bitnomial provides two methods for connecting and trading on the Exchange: Direct and Indirect.
Direct Market Access
Direct Market Access (DMA) provides low-latency connectivity to the exchange through private network connections for high-performance trading.

Currently Bitnomial provides DMA via TCP/IP-based binary protocol over:
Network Setup
- Network Setup - Detailed configuration instructions for AWS PrivateLink, Direct Connect, VPC Peering, VPN, and routing
- Environments - Information about Production, Sandbox, and Disaster Recovery environments
The Bitnomial matching engine is hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) US-East-2 (Ohio).
Direct Connection Protocols
- Binary (BTP) API - Low latency binary protocol for order entry and price feeds. Requires DMA network setup.
- FIX API - Dropcopy functionality using FIX 4.4 protocol

Public Internet APIs
These APIs are accessible over the public internet without requiring Direct Market Access setup.
- REST API - HTTPS API for products, orders, fills, block trades, indexes, and funding rates
- WebSocket API - Real-time market data feed for trades, order books, blocks, and market status
