API Overview

Bitnomial provides two methods for connecting and trading on the Exchange: Direct and Indirect.

Direct Market Access

Direct Market Access (DMA) provides low-latency connectivity to the exchange through private network connections for high-performance trading.

Currently Bitnomial provides DMA via TCP/IP-based binary protocol over:

Network Setup

  • Network Setup - Detailed configuration instructions for AWS PrivateLink, Direct Connect, VPC Peering, VPN, and routing
  • Environments - Information about Production, Sandbox, and Disaster Recovery environments

The Bitnomial matching engine is hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) US-East-2 (Ohio).

Direct Connection Protocols

  • Binary (BTP) API - Low latency binary protocol for order entry and price feeds. Requires DMA network setup.
  • FIX API - Dropcopy functionality using FIX 4.4 protocol

Public Internet APIs

These APIs are accessible over the public internet without requiring Direct Market Access setup.

  • REST API - HTTPS API for products, orders, fills, block trades, indexes, and funding rates
  • WebSocket API - Real-time market data feed for trades, order books, blocks, and market status

Start Trading

Signing up with Bitnomial, Inc. requires additional verification with an FCM to trade futures. Futures accounts are offered by Bitnomial Clearing, LLC, a CFTC-registered FCM and NFA member. Trading in futures involves substantial risks.
